Children

We believe it is vital that children maintain an ongoing relationship with their parents. We work hard, where possible without the intervention of lawyers or Courts, to resolve issues such as where – and with whom – the child or children should live, parental contact, and their education.

Even if no agreement can be reached, there are other options that do not have to result in the stress and expense of a court hearing. Mediation services are available to help parents work out the best arrangements for the children through a child-centred approach. Collaborative Law can also be used to help parents resolve issues about their children.

Sometimes though we will advise on court proceedings if necessary.

And if a parent wishes to permanently remove a child from England and Wales to live elsewhere without the other party's agreement, or if one parent removes a child from this country without the other parent’s permission, we have considerable experience of the court proceedings that would be involved.

"The breakdown of a relationship can be traumatic. Because every situation is different, we are committed to working to achieve the right results for you and your family, and responding to your individual requirements."
