We know that employment disputes need to be handled quickly and effectively. Often the best way to do that is to head off trouble before it develops and we can give advice on the best way to deal with an employee who poses a problem.

We have a proven record in handling Employment Tribunals and limiting the scope for damage, successfully defending employers against unjustified unfair dismissal and discrimination claims, and negotiating settlements for clients who may well have lost the case had it reached the Employment Tribunal.

It is not always employee relations that can sour however. Relationships between fellow directors, and with shareholders, can sometimes go awry also. We advise on directors' legal obligations in such circumstances, on how directors can avoid potential personal liability, and (as one of our team was formerly Solicitor Agent for the Department for Trade and Industry) regarding company director disqualification proceedings.

As the field of employment law never stands still, we run a rolling series of seminars to help clients keep up-to-date.
