Fiona Roberts, Senior Partner sums up the firm's ethos:

'We are a business like any other – it just happens that our business is law.

Businesses only survive and thrive if they deliver what their clients and customers want.

I ask all our staff to put themselves in their client’s shoes. People are all very different, but there are some things we all want when buying services:

  • To know you are engaging someone who really knows what they are doing
  • To understand (no legal jargon!) what they are doing for you
  • To be kept informed on progress on a frequent basis
  • To see pro active management of your matter
  • To know what it is going to cost, and how long it is likely to take
  • To have phone calls returned the same day
  • To feel you can lift the phone at any time and find friendly support at the other end of the line

In my legal work, I personally feel I have failed if ever a client asks me what is happening on a matter. By copying them in on emails and correspondence, they know how pro active and timely I am, and that builds trust. I ask all our staff to do all they can to build trust in the same way.'
